How to: Save a format used in one chart to apply to other charts.
Solution:
Select the chart, select 'AutoFormat...' from the 'Format' menu, select the 'User-Defined' radio button, and click 'Customize'.
1) Select the chart:
a) If the chart is embedded on the worksheet, double-click on the chart. (A striped border with handles appears around the chart.)
b) If the chart is on a separate chart sheet, click the tab for the chart sheet.
2) Select the 'Format' menu and select 'AutoFormat...'. (The AutoFormat dialog box appears.)
3) Select the 'User-Defined' radio button in the 'Formats Used' group.

4) Click 'Customize...'. (The User-Defined AutoFormat dialog box appears.)

5) Click 'Add...'. (The Add Custom AutoFormat dialog box appears.)
6) Type a name for the new format in the 'Format Name' box.
7) (Optional) Type a description for the format in the 'Description' box.
8) Click 'OK'. (The User-Defined AutoFormat dialog box reappears with the new format added to the Formats list box.)
9) Click 'Close'.
